I wanted to Introduce myself. My name is Tamara F. Brown (maiden name Justus) I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. The Peach State. My nickname is ‘Peaches’. I talk, walk and breath the South. I am a true Southern Bell with the southern hospitality and all. I love the south having the ability to over look it’s faults and marvel in it’s beauty. I was an only child for 22 years, and then my mom decided to have another child. Yeah, I know a bummer.
I studied Early Childhood Education at Atlanta Area College in Atlanta, Georgia. My love and passion for children led me to this field and I learned so much. You would be surprised at how much children will teach you when you think you are teaching them. Never underestimate a child’s ability to learn before they are able to speak, or to understand when you speak to them as if you are talking to an adult. Before the age of 5 they are little sponges soaking up any and everything you put in their paths. If there was a field that I would go into right now it would still be teaching. I would love to teach young children. As I feel that if you can mold them at that early age it will stay with them always.
I found my true love when I was in high school. He told me when we started dating that I was going to be his wife. I didn’t believe him. We eventually went our separate ways, but as fate has it we were brought back together. We had our first bundle of joy in February 1995. A bouncing baby boy that we would later learn was visually impaired. We later added two more bundles of joy to our family in ’98 & ’99 both boys. It gets lonely sometimes being the only girl. I was hoping the last one was a girl, but no luck. I’m looking forward to the next chapters in my kids lives as they are now 16, 13, & 12. I wouldn’t trade my fellas for the world as they complete me!
To learn more about Achromatopsia you can visit http://www.achromatopsia.org. This is a rare eye condition that can mimic other eye conditions such as macular degeneration. Persons with ‘A’ are extremely light sensitive, they have nystagmus, they are color blind, they have little to no vision acuity. I use the movie ‘Pitch Black’ Starring Vin Diesel to help explain how they see to some degree as A’s have day blindness. Public awareness of Achromatopsia has greatly increased in recent years as a result of the publication of Dr. Oliver Sacks’ book, The Island of the Colorblind. When I realized my son was special I decided then to put my life on hold and dedicate myself to his needs. My son despite his disability has accomplished high accolades in school. He has even gotten a gold seal & pin award from the President of the United States.
I was introduced to Network ~Internet Marketing, MLM about 5 years ago and I’ve been hooked every since. I don’t believe it’s so much the products or the compensation plan as it is the Ideal that you have you life in your hands. You control your income, & you work schedule. Working for myself with little overhead cost. Being in control of my financial standing is what has drawn me to this industry. Everything else is the cherry on the cake. I have grown in this Industry more so in the past 2 years because of someone that took me under his wing to mentor me. I don’t profess to be were I want to be, but I just acknowledge my growth. I enjoy helping introducing others to this industry and helping them be successful. I like to be as helpful to my team as possible. I have developed so many wonderful relationships within the States and Out as this Industry goes beyond my boarders.
Being a Libra in this Industry is perfect for me as I am a home body. Maybe that explains why I don’t get out and socialize much – – I’m a home body. I enjoy the simple pleasures of life and don’t require high maintenance. I enjoy reading, writing, baking, watching a good movie. I enjoy traveling, watching the sun rise & set. Now that my youngest son plays football and my middle son plays basketball I have come to enjoy sports. I absolutely love having sleep overs with ALL my nieces and nephews. The girls and I hang out and do girl stuff and the boys hang out with my husband for boy stuff. I love sweet and salty things such as Peanut M&M’s with my Popcorn, Oreo’s with my Doritos, or a Wendy’s frost with the French Fries. My favorite color is RED! My favorite food would have to be the hamburger. I love going to new restaurants, but I’m not a fan of trying new things. That is something I’m working on. I am a quite person. I think of myself as shy. I’m not very talkative especially around those I’m unfamiliar with. I am a Church of Christ Christian. I was added to the church on October 22,2006. I would love to hang out more — a girls night out(adult time). Winter months are not my friend. Summer months are not my friend. I love FALL. I love the changes in the leaves. I am Me no matter where I am or whom I’m around. I don’t believe in changing with my surroundings to suit those I’m with. I am Me ~ Tamara B.
I hope you have enjoyed getting to know me. I’ve enjoyed inviting you in.
All the Best,
Tamara Brown
